Missing hook on my 1956 R-26 center stand

Hello

My new 56 R-26 is missing the bent hook that runs under and around the muffler. Really miss this thing and have to fish around under there with my hand to swing down the center stand

Been thinking of forging one from 3/8 drill rod...just copy my other R-26 which is intact

but...been hoping somebody out there might have a better idea

As far as I can see, nobody is selling them and I don't want to replace the center stand if I can keep things original

Ideas anybody ?
