parts for R5 R51 R66

I have recently got a bmw r5 parts box with serveral hairneedle springs, rockerarms, pushrods, distributionchainwheels and serveral other engine parts. Are theses parts interchangeable with R51 and R66? Hans.

AFAIK R5 and R51 are same bikes engine wise.
R66 is another matter... I'm not sure!

I am told that some parts of R5, R51 and R66 are interchangeable. Sould there be some needs.. I have parts to exchange. Hans Radstaak

Hi Hans, I will rebuild a R51 next year (engine # 505 004). Do you have some parts to exchange yet ?

Hans is a great resource for hard-to-find parts, he came up with several parts for the R2 that were unavailable anywhere else.
You can deal with him without worries!
