1972 R75/5 Wiring

Post by iride4kix »

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has a detailed (color if possible) wiring diagram for inside the headlight bucket for a '72 /5. I've got the Clymer manual as well as another schematic.

I'm looking for which wires go where on the board that mounts to the top of the bucket where the key is inserted. I'm electrically challenged and need all the help I can get!!

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Rob

This probably isn't more than you already have:

Then there's this company, but I don't know anything about them:

Probably a better source, though is Rick at Motorrad Elektrik...he's one of the "good" guys, very helpful:

The Haynes manual has color schematics for all the Airheads. They're not as "diagramatic" as the BMW schematics are, but you can generally figure out where everything is.

Correct color wiring diagrams

Post by penth2o »

Cd turned me on to this company for the BMW car.
These are excellent and he has spent a lot of time ensuring accuracy.
They come large & laminated. Take it to Kinkos and blow it up 3X4 ft and laminate it.
Great for the wall of the garage. You just look up from what your doing and see the diagram.

I have one ordered for my 75 R75/6 & one for a 70 R60/5 right now.
I expect they will come just as the vehicle one has. Accurate and well worth the money.

I get them from him for every vehicle from now on. Thats how happy I am with his product.
