hid conversion

Post by 2valve »

hi motorman, hid's are brilliant , no pun intended ! i was only aware that hid's are only for driving lights (on high beam only) not sure if you can buy them with low and high beam in one unit ? i know that the new bm cars have a top headlight in them for night driving not sure what they are thou. aren't the oem headlight are strange size ! anyway what is a glaeser faring look like ? would it be easier to keep the oem light and fit hid's elsewhere. just a thought.

himotorman, was talking to a auto elect last night , he said you can buy a kit to fit into your oem h/light, BUT said its difficult to get the angle of the light correct on the road !!!!. he gave up in the end trying to fit a kit in his car. just fitted aux hid's instead. hope this of some use to you .

HID Conversion For Faring Headlight

Post by VBMWMO »

Hi Folks,

Located a Glaeser faring for my R75/6. I would like to replace the stock headlight system with a HID conversion. Does anyone have any experience with this type of conversion???

Any suggestions would be appreciated,

Thanks,
