Shop Manual and question regarding kickstarter seal...

Post by Allan.Atherton »

SHOP MANUAL R51/3 R67 R67/2 AND PARTS MANUAL R51/3 R67/2 R67/3
The sections on engine rebuild and electric trouble shooting and adjustment are quite good. There is useful information here that is not in the /2 manuals. The shop manual section is in English, the parts manual section in German. 121 pages. $26

I think the kickstarter seal replacement is a matter of removing the kickstarter lever from the shaft, picking out the old seal, and tapping in the new seal over the shaft with a socket.

Shop Manual and question regarding kickstarter seal...

Chris Betjemann at Barrington Motor Works is putting the final touches on a 500-page restoration manual which I believe covers the /3 (need to check that...) through the /2 bikes. It's much more than $26, currently at $90 prior to publication. It should be ready to ship in 4-6 weeks.

That may be a consideration down the line...

Need a shop manual for a R51/3. Anyone know where I can get one? Also, looks like I need a new kickstarter seal...easy job?
