Considering a '75 R90/6

Post by John Woods »

Thanks Redavide...nice bike you have there. I really like the throaty sound.

I test drive the 75 r90/6 today. It all seems good, but no telling when the top end will need to be overhauled. It seems okay for now. The tranny felt good and sounded good. Overall the bike is pretty good, just high miles and a bit pricey.

Not sure if I'm going to pull the trigger just yet. I think I'm going to take my time. I would feel a bit more comfortable with a '76 too, given the potential tranny issues with the '74 & '75's.

I'm now considering a '75 model with 109k miles. The bike has been well maintained and recently undergone a 10k service and rehab (not restore) by a reputable shop. They are asking $4450 for the bike.

Is this too much to pay for this bike with the mileage indicated? I know these bikes are known to go for 100s of 1000s of miles, but just curious what the experts think.

Thanks,
