Contact Chris at Barrington Motor Works...maybe he's plugged into the owners in your area.

Whereabouts of 1953 R51/3 SN 535129

Post by VBMWMO »

Back in the 1960s I owned a 1953 R51/3 SN 535129 (if I remember it right) and eventually sold it (to someone from New Hampshire, but I do not remember the person's name, it was a long time ago).

I'm curious if anyone knows the present where-abouts of this one.. it may have died or maybe it's still alive, who knows? There are times I wish I'd kept it, but at the time, I was in no real position to maintain it and didn't have a good place to keep it safe. But it worked, the new stuff does not fit my 5'6" body with 29" inseams, with that old plunger frame I could comfortably have both feet on the ground at a stop.
