Nice page Jeff, but what would look great on it would be a pic of an original Earles Patent plate in situ on a BMW fork, unfortunately I can't help as I can't remember ever seeing one, but my bike does have the mounting holes for it on the crossmember.
What territories did Ernie Earles hold patents for and presumably BMW pay royalties for and fit the plate, does anyone know?
What would the position be regarding this fitment in an originality contest, were they fitted at the factory or by importers, such as AFN?
And does anyone anywhere have a bike with the plate still in situ, I, for one would like to see what it looked like.
