Levers

Rob -

Generally, I would say in the '65-'66 timeframe. I have a '69 R69S with ball end. I've been working with a local guy who has a '65 R60/2 with blade type levers. I'm fairly certain both bikes are original in that regard.

>> Edit: I ran across this part of Duane Ausherman's website:

http://w6rec.com/duane/bmw/lever.htm

He says they were used from '65 through '69.

Fast. Neat. Average. Friendly. Good. Good.

Can anyone say when BMW switched from blade type levers to ball end. I have a 59 R69 w/ball end and someone told me they should be blade end. At the same time I was at a meet and spoke with an older gentleman that was orig. owner of a 59 R69 with ball end which he said were orig. to his bike. thanks, rj
