Pagusa seat top

Post by mcsherry1328 »

I looked in the knowledge base and archives but didn't find any information on changing the seat top. I know it is a tough job. Is this something I can do myself ? Do I need special tools ? Appreciate your help on this. Thanks, Michael

I replaced the Pagusa cover on my R25/2 quite a few years ago. I got some ideas from the German singles forum. I eventually got it done, but it was a real bear. Not sure I want to do that again. Here's my thread on that:

I found another thread with other ideas:

It’s a bloody battle but it IS possible!!I made the wood frame to do it, the other tool is Mike Dunns, which looks much more elaborate and functional.

I built the little box frame setup and it worked fine. Still was a tough job. Getting the front piece for the seat in place was quite difficult. Took a long time even with heat and lube. If I do it again it will go better. I'm so pleased I did the job and it all worked by myself. Thanks for your help from the Vintage community.
