I have had this problem for a while...I have a fairing on so not so easy to get to the headlight shell to check things out. What I do is when I'm close to my driveway and the end of the ride, I shut off the petcock and then I pull the key. After a short bit, I whack the throttle wide open which introduces lots of air and it ends up diluting the air-fuel mixture. The engine stops. Not the ideal way of deal with this, but I've gotten lazier as time goes by!!
