I own a '74 model with a few imperfections including nicks and areas where the paint has rubbed off. I've experimented with two different paints so far. One was excessively glossy (VHT Epoxy gloss black), while the other was slightly off in shade and still too glossy (A Ford semi-gloss black).
Has anyone discovered a suitable rattle can paint that matches the frame/subframe/swingarm parts from the '74 era?

I have used this a few times with excellent results. Despite what it says in the description, you Will need to apply a clear gloss coat over the top.
