R65 LS black exhaust coating?

Has anyone re-coated an LS exhaust (in black) ? What process did you use? Thanks.

Jeff, I am sorry no one has answered you. I would suggest checking with any of the local hot rod shops near you to see if they have blacked out a system and what they used. LOL, I cannot remember exactly what was used by BMW.

Also I think there is a R65 forum floating around on the web, maybe a search will turn it up. I would bet there are folks there that would know. St.

I have used ceramic coating on headers and primary exhaust of my R80ST and it has held up fine. I used a local guy that did it as a side business and got lucky, I think. There are a number of online reputable outfits you might want to talk to.
