R11/R12 front stand

Post by dBDawg »

Does anyone know how the front stand (F66J21b) installs for these bikes? My head can't wrap around how the orientation is useful or safe. Maybe this is why it seems no one has them installed and I can't find a pic? anyways, looking for enlightenment on the subject. Thanks as always.

My R16 has two "centre" ? stands which kind of surprised me the first time I noticed that ! I'll have a look when the weather warms up a bit

Ha Ha !! Now I green with envy ! Monterey California !! Paradise on earth .Hitch hiked out there circa 1967. Went to Floyd Clymers in LA to buy motorcycle books and to Cycle World mag headquarters to buy back issues ! We are actually getting a bit of a break in the weather so I will wander up to the attic and take some photos Here is an older picture ofthe bike sitting on one of it's stands

Believe it or not this is the first time I have had a good look at the front stand and it appears a cross piece might have been cut out of the base. I have an original parts book but there is no picture of a front stand

Wow. Thanks, Barry! I'll trade you Monterey for that R16. we just had a huge amount of wind and rain come thru here. I didn't have power for about 3 days and the ground is super soaked causing an unusual amount of trees to fall.

But those pics are perfect. really appreciate you doing that.

Did you say the bike is in the attic?
