twist grip not right
twist grip not right
No matter how I do it, the action is very stiff and I only get about %75 opening of the carbs. It's not in the cables, but I've tried everything I can see, what am I missing?

I can work both cables with pliers and get smooth pulls.
The only thing I can figure out is wear in the teeth somewhere???

You don't say what model bike, slide or CV carbs. If slide, can you move the slides all the way to the top with your finger without binding, or if CV the butterfly? There are only a few p!aces for things to hang up.

Maybe this is causing the binding?

There are at least 4 different types of throttle cams for 1970-95 Airheads.

Did the bike come this way or did you get new parts?
I do find it a pain to get both throttle cables in and the “timing mark” of the cam and twist grip to get lined up. It can be tedious. Takes a few tries.
