Engine protection bars

Post by DavidR1oo »

1984 R100RS. Any idea where to source a set of the chrome engine protection bars for my bike. The fairing has the holes already in it, I believe the original kit part # was 4671 2 301834.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Boxer Two Valve also carries them. I think mine came from EME however, just don't remember for sure.

Just a heads up, if you have been using the straight oil filters, (maybe not as you have a faired bike) you will most likely have to switch to the hinged filters after installing the bars. One of the mounts goes to an engine mount on the frame and gets in the way of the straight filter. (oh, long ago before I installed the bars, I had notched the lower fairing to make filter changes easier, LOL then I go and install the bars and go back to less easy). St.
