St;
With that much oil coming out of the crankcase vent I would bet an ice cold Yuengling Lager that the rings were unseated, regardless of whether or not the pistons were left in jugs.

Craig, LOL I will admit, you very well could be correct. I am waiting to see if perhaps he had a oh damn minute and over filled with oil or something else simple.

Do you think a compression test would show your concern? How about a leak down test?

Could the pressure relief valve just have failed at this particular time, stranger things of timing have happened to me? St.

Leak down test would confirm Ring blowby contributing to increased CC pressure and possibly the cause.

Yes Dr. Pete,
and so would a compression test.

Leak downs allows to pinpoint where the air is escaping...intake valves, exhaust valves, or rings. Compression only tells you about rings. Doubt valves would be the source of the excess oil, though.

Agree Craig. Plus what Kurt said in his last post regarding the path of the leak.

We are chatting back and forth, but what has Arthur found out? It might take 30 seconds to check the oil level, maybe another 5 minutes to do a compression test. So please let us know what you have learned.

Sorry friends I made a mistake, what I replaced are the pushrod seals.

I just finished the R90S Dellorto’s and will bring the R100GS/PD back to the table to check oil level and compression.
I’ll keep you posted.

Thanks

I checked the air box again and is dry, oil level is normal, but the truth I did not check the level or don’t remember checking.
Thanks for you kind comments.
