All the ones I have had to do were exhaust rockers. The intake ones were good.
That's interesting.

Do you have any theories on why that would be?

Mal -

I meant to ask...how many needle bearings went into each side of the rocker? Info I'd seen in the past was it was either 30 or 31 depending on who made the bearings. I think there is just the one part number - 11331261712.

Lol, I kept out of this topic until I saw my name mentioned.

YEAH, good work and great progress, and THANK YOU so much for not only writing what you found but how to fix it as well. St.

Good to close the loop, so others get an idea, much as I do and I guess you do when we learn from others.
Do you also own a pre 1969 BMW as well?

Because most of my posts have been over there. The R75/6 is a new friend and we are still working through bits and pieces together. I suspect there are a few more gremlins lurking below Cucumber's cool green paint job.

Cheers

I would love to add a pre 70 bike to my stable but prices have just gone too high for me to justify one. Even barn finds are ridiculous.

I did have a 78 RS that I wrecked, I miss it and am sort of looking for a replacement but, as I get older, I wonder if I really need more than one bike? St.

A great deal just went on and I have turned it down. I guess looking at bikes is okay but buying not or not anymore. St.
