To get a good compression test, the engine should be warmish and the carbs ideally should be off the heads, or at least prop the carb slides open to all the air to easily get to the engine.

Re: R60/5 won’t start has spark
I just was reading Snowbum's write up on them and the reasons they fail. I would post a link but I have had problems with that in this forum, you will have to look it up.
Hey as you say, it is a 53 year old bike age takes its toll on many things.
Kurt gives the test for them, Snowbum does as well. While I find Snowbum,s write ups a bit wordy, they are priceless reading for airhead owners. Only Oak who used to write in the Airheads club, was as good. St.

Hmmm...can you tell us more about what you did? What was the setting on the meter? Something sounds weird...SharkAttackTime wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 10:52 pmSo finally was able to get a test on the coils I’m getting around 36 ohms. Does that mean there bad?
You may need to test each individual component and then add the numbers up.

I did what you mentioned. Test from cap to cap on ohms it was late after a long day so I’ll try again and make sure I’m doing it correctlyschrader7032 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2023 6:06 am
