Better get them now, I don't know if production is transferring somewhere else, but if so, they will not be quite the same, they never are.

The Heidenau K34s are listed as Closeout at the big retailers like Revzilla. I hope they aren't going away as well.

The only thing better than modern tires for supreme performance is…. You guessed it, a modern bike.

I’ll stick with heidenau’s or metzelers. I live in the boons where rain grooves aren’t a thing and when I rarely encounter them in my travels, I just sit back and relax.

Geez, nothing good ever lasts! I'm considering these Shinkos as an alternative. I understand they took over Yokohoma's technology:

Ended up ordering Bridgestone Battlax B46s in 100/90-18 front and 120/80-18 rear. I'll post pics with them on, once I get them mounted and the fenders installed:

I hope the tires work out for you. I was able to order some more Avons, they are $400.00 + for a set, so I ordered 1 set.

Thanks. I looked at the Avons, but choked a bit on the price. I believe the Bridgestones Battlax are at least as high-tech and have one on my K-bike, so it was a no-brainer. Good looking, too. I decided to stagger and go with a smaller front as I didn't want the HD/sidecar look. Will lyk!

I have put Conti GO tires on my /5, and they make a world of difference. I couldn't find them for the /2 when last I looked...

I received my tire order from Meyers a few weeks ago. It was placed late December at which time I asked Uwe to ship [literally] by slow boat rather than air to save some funds. I wasn't in a big hurry. Both are for a '78 R80.

4.00-18 M/C 64 H TL Heidenau K36 @ 100 euro

3.25-19 M/C 54H TL Heidenau K44 @ 75 euro

Bingo, ContiGo!'s are excellent tires. I have tested Continetal, Metzeler, Michelin, Heidenau and Avons. After thousands of miles and cross-country travel, the ContiGo! have become my tire of choice for the 55-69 Twins and some post-70 Airheads. The Continental tire sizes used are 100/90-18H and 4.00H-18. I generally always use a 27/8 FD on all my builds, so the 4.00H-18 is an ideal match with that FD ratio. I inquired some years ago with Continental about a ContiGo! rear 100/90H-18 tire offering and they were going to consider, yet it obviously never happened.
