Without going into a long drawn out and expensive story (16 years, crank shaft rebuild) I would like to suggest you take a look at your ignition points and that system in general. I am painfully familiar with a potential lower end rod knock that turned out to be a set of bad ignition points. Funny how we jump to the most difficult and expensive resolution before we check everything, even stuff that just doesn't seem possible or related.
I don't have ignition points anymore in the new system.

Hi, on my R67 I have a ticking from the right side cylinder area , turns out its the carburettor slide rattle [Slightly worn slide /bore} try when its making the noise ..take off the air tube from the carb. and lightly put your finger on the slide if the noise stops then you've found the culprit!

Also was told what appeared to be a wide valve gap making the noise could be a worn slide
Good and easy way to test also could swap slides
But in my case too much end play on the rocker shaft was the cause of the noise

I came back with a sound recording.
It is a Google Drive sound file.

I did found a bent pushrod, so I replaced both, intake and exhaust. I also replaced the adjusting nuts on the bolts for the pushrods.
Could not find any play on the carb slider.
Rocker arm play is ok.

It seems that all these actions did not affect and the ticking that drives me crazy still exists...

I enabled uploading of audio files now on the forum. You should be able to directly upload.

Well the file is a m4a type, whatever that means. I'm trying via my mobile but it is impossible.
It says: "Invalid file extension".

I managed to upload these ticking.
Thank you James!

Hopefully someone can direct me of what or where to search.

Thanks Kurt.
I understand that it is a bit difficult to hear the differences between left side and right side (right side has these ticking).
I'll give it a try anyway and hope you guys will be able to hear and say your opinion, before my wife sends me to the district psychiatrist, as she had already promised me.
