Greetings, new here,I just bought another r75/6, third one and I am not going to sell this one! Last one I had was a 1974 or 75, I don't remember as it was 20 years ago but it did have a kick starter, my current is a 1976 and no kicker. 15 K original miles. Hello to the group.

Welcome! Very clean looking

Welcome! Very clean looking bike...same color as my /7. Don't worry about the missing kicker...it was weak to start with and could create problems if overused.

Thanks for the welcome,

Thanks for the welcome, here's a pic (red) of my last one. It was a beauty, and it had a kicker. The silver one was a beater, I think I paid $250.00 but it ran great. I should have kept it too, along with my SR 500 Yamaha and it's sibling TT 500. Oh well, sellers remorse, the list seems endless. cheers.

Guess I'll just introduce

Post by MBeerline13 »

Guess I'll just introduce myself here as well. I just joined last night and am excited to hopefully benefit from a unique group like this. I recently acquired a '74 R90/6 with unknown mileage (the odometer has been busted for quite some time) and am very excited about it. I have been looking for a classic R series for the last several years now and plan on fully restoring it this summer. Here's a photo of it.

newcomer as well

Howdy from Texas ya'all. I recently joined and have never owned a Beemer until my recent acquisition. I traded my buddy my old Jeep CJ-7 for one of his old Beemers - a 1981 R100RS that had been in storage for more than 7 years and only had 29,000 original miles on it. It took a month, but I finally got it back on the road and have been having a blast riding this old bike around South Texas.

Welcome LA Fisher,

I live in Houston but work all over south Texas (my office is in Tilden but I don't go there much).

Hi Vince. If you are ever

Hi Vince. If you are ever down this way on your bike, please look me up. Two of my married children live in Houston. Well, actually one lives in Katy and the other is in Houston, so I do get up that way fairly often. Although it is not on my bike.
