I have Wixom hard bags on my /7 and they look a lot like the Bucos. My bike came with a top box, also Wixom. Here's one on ebay:

Here's a view from an old magazine ad for the Wixoms:

You'll need a rear rack plus the Wixom provides for a pillion backrest.

Hard case luggage

Post by penth2o »

Hi Folks,
I stole a pair of Buco Twin masters hard case's with the brackets at a swap meet for my R75/6.
They should look great when I get them painted/pinstriped along with my tank & fenders this winter.

I have been searching the web trying to find a rear top case that would compliment them without looking totally wrong or different.

Do any of you Veterans know of a brand of a top case that would look close to these or even match these?
I don't have a vintage Buco catalog so I don't even know if Buco makes a rear top case.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time & help.

Joel.

EDIT:
Does anyone have a picture of what the 1975 R75/6 Id tag should look like that is attached to the front of the frame.
My PO lost mine while painting the bike.
I see blanks for sale and would like to get the correct one.
Thanks again.

That's a very nice set of Bucos. Do you know if they are reproductions? The lenses in the lights are different from what I remember. The originals were pointed.

I have a Wixom top case with its folding rack that might interest you. I bought it for my R69S and decided that it just doesn't look right with my Corbin solo saddle.

What I would like is some kind of medium-sized case --say, two-thirds the size of the Wixom-- that will mount handily to the small Denfeld fender-top rack. The radio box on the old Moto Guzzi Police 1000s would be just about right.
