Help on a 75/5

All '70 to '80 transmissions are interchangeable. Even 4 to 5 speeds. Beginning in 1981, things got quite a bit different.

Just curious...what's the problem with the tranny? Any ideas on how to get that fixed? I also noticed that you mention a tranny for you '71 model but your signature block shows a '72. Holding out on us?? Quite an assortment of bikes...I just have a '69 R69S and a '78 R100/7. I've only had the /2 about 5 years.

Yes, you spotted the deliberate mistake!!!! It should have been my 1971.

The problem with the transmission is jumps out of gear, lots of noise.

The motorcycles I have are 1969 R69S, 1972 75/5, 1975 90/6, 1976 90S, 1984 100RS Last Edition and a 1975 Honda 400F.

Thanks for the interest.

Help on a 75/5

Hello,

I have a 1971 75/5 that I am having transmission problems with. A friend has a 1976 transmission that he will let have. Will the 1976 fit on to my 1971?

Thanks,

Stephen
