All the /5s came with a combined speedo/tach instrument mounted in the headlight nacelle.

Reading Ian Falloon's book, for 1970 he says that the instrument was a mechanical tach and speedometer. There was an odometer but no room for a trip meter.

Tachs were mechanical at least through the /6 series; speedos were always mechanical on Boxers until the R1200 "Hexheads" arrived a couple years ago. The K bikes always had electronic speedos.

Can anyone tell me if a 1970 R75/5 speedo was just the speedo or both tach and speedo?
