lowering my r75/7 front end--how?

Changing the suspension just the looks might have some consequences that would not be good for the bike...and for you...

- changes the geometry and handling. The rake and trail is reduced which increases the changes for high speed wobbles

- reduces the fork travel

- side and centerstand usage is compromised

- loss of cornering clearance

But there are a few ways to consider:

- lower profile tires in front; higher profile tires in back

- use of an aftermarket top triple tree installed upside down allowing the tubes to protrude through somewhat, effectively lower the front end.

I'd think seriously about doing this just for looks...you could be creating a dangerous situation.

um, maybe i'll scratch the lowering. I thought it might be easy, but the possible affects sound sketchy. thanks for your input!

How can I go about lowering the front end of my R75/7? I have cafe bars on it and I think lowered would look good (based on how the bike looks when it's strapped down tightly in the back of my truck).

Can I even lower it? Can I cut the existing fork springs? Can I buy shorter springs?
