USB Charger for 6v

Post by Zeno Lee »

So there are plenty of adapters and plugs for 12 volt systems to charge a USB device like a phone or GPS navigation unit but none that I could find for 6v.

After doing a bit of research, I soldered a primitive 6v to 5v USB Charger, connecting it to the 15/54 terminal in the switch board of the headlight.

The device is nothing more than a regulator, heat, sink and a USB female adapter. So far so good.

I have an old universal

I have an old universal electronics charger with a switch on the front for 6, 9, or 12 volts. This is what I use for my 6v batteries. Probably could find one at a garage sale or flea market.
