Yes, the 2nd Annual Beemers Under The Redwoods Campout is coming up. It will be Saturday and Sunday, September 9th and 10th at the Mt. Madonna County Park, Manzanita group campsite. The park is at the summit of Hecker Pass, halfway between Gilroy and Watsonville, CA, along CA-152.
The campsite is big and full of redwoods, so even if it's hot in Gilroy, it will be pleasant at the park. There are no services at the park, but both Gilroy and Watsonville are only about 10 miles away, and Santa Cruz BMW is in Watsonville.
The cost is $30 including camping, dinner and breakfast. Pillions are an additional $15.
