After re-synching the carbs after cleaning the right side one,the bottom end cleaned up considerably and decided to go for a Sunday ride.
The Sunday ride turned into a wet one half-way through the 90 mile route.The bike gave no trouble and is running beautifully. 8)

How did you do it? You should as a minimum manually hold the slides open so the engine can breather. Better still, completely remove the carbs. Then the kicking is important, too. Try to get 3-4 kicks one right after the other to get the engine spinning pretty good.

Yeah those numbers seem low, I turn off the ignition, remove the plugs, screw in the SUN compression meter with a dab of oil on the thread. open the throttle, and kicked 5-6 times, on the fist kick it jump to like 30, second kick to about 60 and stayed at 85/90 on the third kick. would not go any higher thereafter.

Putting oil in the combustion chamber bring up the pressure to 130 PSI on both cylinders.

Make sure you have spark to both cylinders and clean those carbs!!!
