Sorry, posted this in the wrong forum before.
I have been a member of Vintage BMW off and on over the years, still have the patch that BMW got mad about. Recently I acquired a slash 5 just like I had when I was a kid and have been on here more often.

Anyway, great info and help. I was looking for paint suggestions for the new bike and was approached by strichzwei, who had some already painted ready to go. We spoke on the phone for quite awhile and made a deal. Parts were packed beautifully and were in such amazing condition I almost cried. He is a great seller and if I make it down to Texas I will be sure to stop and say hello.

Just wanted to say thanks for a great community! I will share pics when I get the bike back together.
