Looking for other users input how to charge cell phone on a 6 volt system

I tested a 12-24 volt input to USB adapter
The standard voltage for USB port is 5 Volts
This adapter provided 5 volt output from 5.4 volts to 30 volts !!

I have use the Boost converters successfully on the /2... they have a capacity of 4amps, I will be looking at powering a LED driving lamp.
