Daily ride replacement, V7

Post by xackley »

A few years ago I started to feel guilty about putting miles on my R69.
I bought an r75/5 hoping it had some of the same charm, but was sorely disappointed.

Then I spent a year reading and watching video about moto guzzi.
Then bought a guzzi California 1100. good bike for 2 and 4 lane riding.

Then I found a V7 III for sale within a 100 miles after watching Craigslist and Facebook Market for a year.
I would consider the V7 a modern replacement for my R69. The perfect amount of feed back from the motor. No fear of dumping on a dirt track. Cruise for hours at 70+ on the 4 lane. Red line it through the gears if feeling frisky, or let it mope along, it doesn't complain.

So my R69 gets to sit looking pretty a whole lot more, while the V7 gets to roam the country side. I have even started to consider selling the R69, which would have been unthinkable before the V7.
