R50/2 Bing Carb Slide Setting

Post by GaryE »

Hello,

I own a 1963 R50/2 with rebuilt Bing carbs 131&132. Carbs are setup to the Bing Carb Spec Sheet. Main 135, Needle 1308, Idle Jet 35, Jet Needle 255, Clip Position 3 from top, Idle Mix Setting 2 out (start point). My question is what is a good start point for the slide adjusters?

Thanks, Gary

Welcome to the forum! You provided the specs for the carb from Bing...in my mind, those are good starting points. What else do you mean for starting points for the slide?

Starting points for the slide?

Do you mean the starting point for the slid at idle
If so, adjust the idle screw up so the slid raises just a little on both sides and then do a final adjustment after the bike is running and warmed up
