Mal -

I meant to ask...how many needle bearings went into each side of the rocker? Info I'd seen in the past was it was either 30 or 31 depending on who made the bearings. I think there is just the one part number - 11331261712.
Hi Kurt

I counted the rollers which I took out of the bike today. 30 in each bearing.

All the ones I have had to do were exhaust rockers. The intake ones were good.
That's interesting.

Do you have any theories on why that would be?

Mal
I heard that the exhaust is hotter and has more back pressure against the valve while opening.

Well that may well be the case.

I have new bearings and shaft to fit for the other rockers, so I will measure the relative wear and see if, in my case the exhausts are more worn. Unfortunately I dont know everything that has been done to this engine over it's life.

Thank you for coming back and sharing that information.
