The story would make more sense if it was about steering head bearings, which are loose ball bearings that often scatter on disassembly, and you stick them in the race one by one, coated in axle grease to hold them.[/quote

The ones I was talking about are #6, which you can see are needle. I think you can see by the diagram they are not caged.

I want to take the engine out with the gear box attached (don't ask why...). Is this possible? How can it be done? Must I disassemble the cylinders first?
Logically I think that petrol tank removing is a must. Anything else? Seat? Front elephant-ear mudguard? Your guidance is much appreciated!
