Ok, Leo, more information:
I'm pretty sure the '83 gearbox has the "shift kit" already installed as
standard, so that will already make your shifting easier.

You could also install a later driveshaft, one with the in-line spring in
it, which absorbs shock and makes for smoother riding.

You could also install a rear drive from an R75, which will make you turn
more RPMs at all times, thus giving you a quicker bike. Your top end final
speed will be diminished, say from 124 mph to maybe 115 mph, but you will
get there quicker :-)

You could install an electronic bean can and ICU from Motorrad Elektrik :-)

And a larger alternator, several offer that.

Not sure of the year of your bike, but IF you install a 40 mm caliper from
a '75 or later, your braking ratio will improve.

And if you go with a smaller brake master cylinder, your braking ratio will
improve.

See the m/c versus caliper chart here:
vintagebrake.com

And a stainless front brake line will give you better "feel", less mushy :-)

Some like the Race Tech Gold Valve Emulators in the front end; basically it
is more modern front end internals, and they have more adjustments. I have
them on an R80G/S and it is a definite improvement.

I have to quit this :-)

Just trying to spend your money for you :-)
