That's about the milage I had
Wait, a bike with under a
That aside, it's gorgeous and a beautifully appointed machine.
1965 R60/2 with Bender Florin Sidecar
Anyhow, I have had this in storage for about a year and my wife and I planned on moving and building a larger garage/workshop where I would have the space and time to do this right. I had planned on dropping $8-10K into this to get it right then spend the rest of my life making it even "righter" lol. Circumstances have changed though. Mostly family issues and the health of my brother. But I am having to make the PAINFUL and regretful decision that I need to concentrate on the other priorities in my life for the next 10 years or so. I am 51 years old so this would have been a perfect project to work on and spend my pre-retirement years riding but it is just not in the cards for me. Maybe I will eventually get my second dream of a Corvette later. I will just have to see what comes my way that I have the ability to do later in my life.
I am going to have to sell this. I do not see a For Sale or Sell it Here type of forum section so if there is a place for that please feel free to move this post to one of those spots here. What I am looking for is ideas for the best way to sell this so I can get a good and FAIR price for this where I know it will go to someone that WILL restore this and not just put it in storage.
MY wifes uncle was an avid BMW enthusiast. If my memory is correct he had a R75 that he had near 200K miles on that he rode to Alaska and back along with many other trips in the 80's and even into the 90's. His health started going bad and only rode short trips in the recent past though. He put all of his bikes in his garage where they gathered dust and he turned his attention to Ham Radio. When I bought this from the estate I promised I would restore it or make sure someone restored it.
I put all the pictures I took of the bike and sidecar before I put it in storage last fall and put on a website 1965 R60/2 with Bender Florin Sidecar As seen in the pics I have quite a few spare parts for this including and extra headlight can, some wheels, tranny etc. Some MAY not be to this bike though. I am an uneducated BMW enthusiast. I do have the title and as many may want to know,,, yes I do have the key to it lol. The last few pics there are from the late 1960's when my wifes uncle took some pics of him riding some family members around in their back yard in the sidecar.
Like I said earlier, I am just looking for the best way to get an estimate on a fair price and what the best way would be to sell this to a TRUE enthusiast that will restore this right. I know in late July there is a Vintage Bike show at Mid-Ohio that might get some interest and input if I took it there and rented a slot there. I just don't want to do this on EBay and take the chance of someone parting it out or not doing this right.

Oh and I am nearly sure all the support arms fo rthe sidecar mount are there. i just don't see them in any of the pictures, I think I had them in the back storage compartment of the sidecar.
