Magnetic Oil Drain Plug

I don't believe that any of the drain plugs on a /3 are magnetic, although at least 2 of the three on my bike are not original. You can get magnetic plugs now -- these seem to be a fairly standard size -- and on the Yahoo /2 list, there's a fair amount of discussion about getting strong magnets and placing them in the sump on the steel pan (and then routinely pulling the pan to clean them).

Can some one please tell me if the original plug that is fitted in my R51/3 is magnetic? Is the one that Mark Huggett has on his shop magnetic? Is it a magnetic plug or a normal one with a magnet fitted on top? How long is the threaded section? Thanks in advance, Michael.
