Correct locking washers for vintage pre-war BMW bikes
Correct locking washers for vintage pre-war BMW bikes
Any vintage bike that has not been well kept over 80 years is going to end up with an assortment of nuts, bolts, screws and washers, basically because the originals were lost or mixed up and the nearest one to hand made do. Interesting to find out what BMW of era used.

Here is the R51-R71
You will next want a good German-English technical dictionary. Two good ones are:
Two Wheeler Technical Dictionary (English/German/French) Beatrice Couzereau ISBN 3-87073-054-4
Technisches Taschenworterbuch Henry Freeman ISBN 3-19-006212-9
I have another technical German dictionary somewhere, but it may not be unpacked yet.
Cheers,
Bruce
