Title for frame/engine

Post by bmw_dave »

Hope someone can help-I've got a frame and engine case from a mid-60's R50/2, with matching numbers, that I'd like to sell soon. There's no title, but I'd certainly like one. I bought an untitled R27 several years ago, and got a title for it through a company that goes through New Hampshire, which only requires a bill of sale, but haven't been able to find them lately. Any ideas?

I had read that people were using Vermont to get titles...maybe it was just so the bike was registered in VT and then you could go from there.

Another place I read that you could get a surety bond and that will get you a title in any state as long as the vehicle isn't stolen. Have you checked with your DMV to see what they expect to see or what options there are?
