Just thought I would introduce myself.
Paul is the name.
Located on the east coast of Africa.
Durban to be precise.
I recently purchased a 1958 R50 from a friend who emigrated to Australia.
Have grown up around Beemers and more recently KTM's.
Looking forward to getting some great info on looking after her on this site.
First farkle that I am after is a sidestand.
Research points to Bob van Farowe.

I found that calling works best, but understand it may be a bit expensive from SA.

Bob owns a little machine shop in Michigan. He's old-school. When I purchased one for my R50/2, he told me he would ship it and if I liked it to pay him. Otherwise return it.

It's a first-class product.
