( the R60 ,white, had a banged up rear mudguard which he straightened out(frame is still in my car)
and i couldn't resist putting the bodywork on the r50 to check it out
So pics of where i am
Had a bit of a time aligning the pins on the rear mudguard (will have to touch up where i buggered the paintwork)
Mudguard as it was, just to give an idea of the state of the bodywork

Didn't like the battery and wiring being exposed , so made and 3d printed a surround, the nice thing with the black ABS it looks similar to the old batteries and i made a box to hide the connections etc
Still messing around with holding it in (atm its just a short piece of threadbar tapped though an existing hole in battery holder) , either a domed nut or wingnut to finish it off...or print another lid that has some hidden holders

A questions, she is currently without oil,(transmission and final drive and engine) when she is being moved around, or i spin the rear wheel I hear a click click noise in time with the rotation. The driveshaft bolts are not touching anything, in fact is sounds as if its inside the engine /Transmission
When these bikes are moved in neutral are they normally totally silent?
The front brake, The cam bolt to adjust the brake shoes, Mine upon disassembly had a completely mangled spring, which i removed. Can i still adjust it and lock it? Unforeseen problems?

Is it different when reversing the bike than when running the bike forward?
Just a couple of questions to contribute to your thinking.

I had moved it around the workshop a bit now that both wheels are on and it's been on and off the main stand quite a bit... And went to go check how many clicks per rotation and... Gone.
I suspect the Speedo cable mighta been not seated and was clicking. The levering it on and wheeling around might have seated it...
Oh wait. While writing this I just remembered I disconnected my speedo to sort out the wiring....
Ok. I think it's something to do with Speedo Cable not seating

I have had them break and because they are contained within the outer cable they still sort of work, but every now and then they skip a beat where they are broken.
Maybe yours is brand new and no such situation is possible.
Well at least you have narrowed down the hunt.
