R60/2 and R60US wheels differences
can someone tell me if there are any differences between /2 and "US (telescopic front end)" wheels, specifically interested in the front wheel of a US model.
I understand on the /2 the wheels can be swapped front to back, is this the same with US wheels? Are they all interchangeable?
thanks,
Scott

Duane's article on wheel (bearings) is what made me wonder....
"The /2 BMW motorcycle wheels
The front and rear wheels are exactly the same on the Earles fork twins and on the singles. The twins have 40 spokes and the singles have 36. The wheels are interchangeable between front and rear. In 68 and 69, BMW produced a model we usually call the US model. It has telescopic forks and has different front and rear wheels. The wheel bearing system is exactly the same as the others. This article calls the entire production of all models, twins and singles, from 1956 through 1969, the /2."

I find this very interesting.
So, what is the difference between Earles fork wheels and US fork wheels. I have an 1969 R69S which came with US forks and I switched to an Earles fork to use with sidecar? I also switched the frame to get the sidecar lugs. Thanks, Michael
