video clip - what do these rattles mean???
I have done a very poor video which captures the sound track of our R69s engine running.
Are these rattles piston slap, little end knock, big end knock or maybe all three.
Comments and advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for your comments. My
My son has an R60/2 and she sounds choffy (breather) but other than that she sounds nice and tight - not rattling and slapping like mine.
As for mileage, I have no idea at all - I have only done a thousand or so on the R69s since buying it. So I think I will drop off the heads and do some measuring and se how it all stacks up. Happy to spend some dollars on it so it runs sweet.
I have a R1200gsa to ride in the meantime, so it is not as if I am walking.
Thanks again for your thoughts.

I won't claim to be an expert on engine noises. But I think there are clattering sounds in there. Before giving up hope and accepting deeper work make certain your valves are set properly, that your timing is right (magneto timing and points timing), and make sure you have a good fuel air mix (not too lean or rich), and that your carbs are synched such that each piston is idling at the same rate. Any of those things being off can create funny noises. Eliminate all those things first as possible issues. Ask if you are not sure about any of the procedures to check any of these things.

It might be helpful to acquire or fashion a stethoscope and see if you can pinpoint where the sound is emanating from...might offer a lead...or help narrow the possibilities.

Thanks Guys for the
First off I am pleased that most if not all agree that the old fellow rattles more than desirable.
I will follow up on the suggestions and see if that makes a difference, but I expect it is time to clean out the slingers and that will give me the opportunity to mic up the pistons etc.

Check the rocker end float , its really easy to fix
The rocker shafts are held by supports at the top and bottom.
If you loosen the top support just a little and put a socket on top where the shaft just stickes through.Give it light tap and you will gradually feel any end float dissapear.
Dont over do it as you dont want to end up with any load on the rockers just no gap.
I screw the adjuster back first so that you can get more movemen on the rocker .
