Re: Mzb power dynamo issues
Pictures of my installation are attached. I hid everything and made it look 100% original. No one knows it’s an upgrade! I hollowed out an original coil and ran my ignition wire through it so it looks like it is functional. I hid the coil under the tank. The boxes are all hid in the battery compartment. I have a very small 12v battery in there as well.

Re: Mzb power dynamo issues
I emailed vape about a month ago and wanted to know if I could just get the charging system only and they replied back that the r27 system was no longer available
Just went back to their website and it says it is available in 6 weeks
I did notice this time they showed 2 advance curves in their assembly instructions
has anyone tried the 1st settings that at kickstart timing is set at 2 degrees after tdc ?

Re: Mzb power dynamo issues
I hate to be a pest but clearly you have good experience with this system. I mocked up the installation and was able to start the bike, but noted two issues that I could use some advice with:
1. As you predicted, taking out the key did not stop the engine. How did you wire a kill switch on yours? I know on my R50 that taking out the key grounded the magneto, but the switch mechanism appears to be different on the singles that did not have magnetos in stock build.
2. The turn signals did not blink on/off. I did install a 12V blinker relay but the lights just stay on.
Thanks,
Kevin

Re: Mzb power dynamo issues
Run that into the headlight switch and connect it two terminal #2 (next to the large brown wire) and it will ground the bl/ws wire to kill the spark
terminal #2 on the r27 setup was never used because it does not have a mag
Flasher lights
did you change bulbs to led bulbs ??

Re: Mzb power dynamo issues
You are not being a pest, that is why we are here!
1. The bl/ws wire needs to go to pin #2 on the ignition board. It will work as expected when you hook that up.
2. Ideas for why your blinkers are not working are below:
2a. If you are using LED bulbs please make sure you have the polarity right.
2b. The hot feed for the blinker should come off of pole 15 on the ignition board. See the wiring diagram link!
The wiring diagram for the turn signals is at http://benchmarkworks.com/articles/howto/signal.html.
Let me know if this helps please.
