i just reread my last post and realised that i should have said:

hey look!-some dead french guy tried to streamline the R12 and GAWD is it UGLY!

can i have a R7 now?

Yes, really...Streamlining The R12. I came across an article regarding a French designer who indeed do this very thing in the fourties, written by Paul D'orleans on his wonderful blog The Vinategent.

He writes: "In 1947,Louis Lucien Lepoix founded his own design atelier, initially focussing on two-wheeled projects, beginning with this amazingly futuristic bodywork for his 1934'ish R12 Streamliner..."

It ain't a patch on the sublime R7 but it's still miles away from your grandmother's stock R12...
