Try here: http://www.ibmwr.org/market/ Look under Vintage. Actually they only show 3 bikes and one is a '78 model and the other is a clone, the EMW. The only true vintage bike is a 1953 model...not what you're looking for.

Generally, those older airheads are correct. The splines need lubing every so often, although 5K miles might be a bit often. Maybe on the order of 20K or so miles is my take on it.
