Re: Wheel truing problem

You are absolutely right
I already got rid of it and now have a pointed rod clamped to the jig.

Re: Wheel lacing problem

I apologize for the lack of clarity in my question and will try to rephrase: I loosened and retightened the spokes 5 times because I could not true it. Balancing a simple wheel like this is not rocket science (done it before on my BSA M20 with outfit, 3 wheels). Although you need to know what you ar...

Re: Wheel lacing problem

Sorry, I ment truing.
Lacing is ok.
As the rim is new and so are the spokes, I asume it could be the old drum.

Re: Wheel lacing problem

Evening James, Do you want me to picture the spokes pattern? Well they are correct. This is a spare wheel I have and the pattern matches the wheels I have now on my bike. If you mean for me to photograph something else in the wheel - please update and I will try to upload quality pictures. I will be...

Wheel truing problem

I can't lace and true the new rim and spokes I bought. Could it be that the original drum brake that I matched to it is warped? And that's why I don't succeed? Edit: On the one hand, it is the beefy ribbed drum type, but on the other hand, it has been working hard and in hot conditions for 70 years...

VAPE System and charging light

Good morning, I have the complete system installed on my R51/3, alternator & ignition and I'm happy with it. Despite this, there is a small issue that I sometimes think about (it doesn't really bother me): While idle, the charging bulb won't come off. The system is not charging the batt. I need ...

Compliments to Salis in the Netherlands

I would like to say a good word to the guys there and especially to Jan for handling the problem I had. I purchased a rear brake light unit from them at the time, which turned out to be defective. I sent an email that was quickly answered by Jan, another video or some photos on WhatsApp and a new pa...

Re: Installing new Bevel gear set 35:9 - can't get it quiet

Seek and Vech, Came back to report. All went well with the lipstick trick, Vech. The gears were spot on, I had to shim the pinion a little from the drive shaft side and that's it. Another strange (new) noise came from the rubber boot that encloses the bell cover. A little grease solved that too. See...
