I have a question:

Can I weld (electrically) a nut to a stubborn bolt that refuses to open? Or will I cause damage to the internal electric stuff?

Extracting an R51/3 Dynamo

Hi Kurt.
Thanks for replying. What I can see is a simple standard bolt, maybe M8 or M10. Is that so, or is there another part added to this bolt and not present in this photo?

R51/3 Ignition Coil rewound: How many Ohm at the resistance?

Hi Allan, Thanks for the idea. I know Mr. Huggett that runs a very good and reliable business, but at the time I'm very short with money, so I'm looking for alternatives. Pls see new topic.

Compression test - how should it be done?

Well, I fitted new liners + new STD KS pistons. Can you please explain how the pressure test should be made? I attache the pressure hose to the spark plug thread and give a few kicks.
Cheers – Michael.

R51/3 Luggage Carrier

Thanks for replying, Allan. 150$ are about 600NIS (I'm located in Israel). That's a lot of money, not to mention postage. And then, I have to face the crazy tax system we have here, and add about 150% to the price… I made my own panniers and some other parts for my BSA M20 bike and it came out pret...
