Heat is needed in order to reduce or eliminate the work hardening that happens. When you bend something over and over, the metal becomes more brittle and prone to cracking...think what happens when you take a coat hanger and bend it back and forth...eventually it breaks. The old Bench Mark Works site lists this wheel seal...not sure if it's what you're talking about:

36314038155.1 substitute lip seal for inner wheel 038155 felt ring and 038157 cap R26R27

Bench Mark Works stock was taken over by Max BMW. I'd start there.

Don't LED bulbs require some additional resistance in the circuit to work properly? The LED bulbs don't trigger the flashers because the small resistance isn't sensed by the flasher. What sort of changes did you have to make to the other LED sights you installed?
